女：那样很好。就你的财力来看，你不适合做风险太高的投资。
男：哈哈。你是说我赚得不够多吗？就算我赚很多钱，我也会选择比较安全的投资。
女：明智的选择。我已经帮你找到许多安全的投资机会了。
1) nest egg 储蓄。字面上是「留在巢中的蛋」，引伸为储蓄下来的钱
I built up a nice little nest egg after working here for twenty years.
2) analyze (v.) 分析
The scientist analyzed the problem from every angle.
3) number (n.) （用以计算评估的）数据
The banker checked the numbers against the computer’s list.
4) risky (a.) 冒险的，有风险的
Opening a restaurant can be a risky business.
create a good nest egg 预存养老金
create a good nest egg这种说法经常与退休养老金有关。nest egg是指一颗故意被留在巢中的蛋（也可能是假蛋），如此一来雌鸟就会继续留在巢中生蛋，蛋农就因此一直有蛋可取。
A: All of my extra earnings are invested in stocks and bonds.
我多赚的钱都投入股票和债券了。
B: It sounds like you’re creating a good nest egg.
看来你为年老做了不错的准备。
Man: My 1)advisor gave me this packet of info on mutual funds.
Woman: Wow. That’s a big 2)stack of stuff.
Man: I’m a little 3)overwhelmed. Any advice?
Woman: Make sure to 4)diversify to protect your money.
Man: What do you think of world markets? Should I invest in anything overseas?
Woman: Sure, but be picky and choosy. Make sure to go with something 5)stable.

1) advisor? (n.) 顾问，也拼做adviser。advice? (n.) 建议
2) stack? (n.) 堆，a stack of...即「一堆（某物）」
3) overwhelm? (v.) 压得喘不过气来，感觉手忙脚乱
4) diversify (v.) 分散（投资），使多样化
5) stable (a.) 稳定的，可靠的
I’m a little overwhelmed.
overwhelm是指无形的压力、讯息，或有形的工作、物品一下子大量涌入，让人感到措手不及。当主词是人，就说be overwhelmed，若主词是事物，就是be overwhelming。对话中I’m a little overwhelmed. 也可以说：
．That’s too much for me.（我承受不了。）
．I can’t handle this.（我无法处理。）
．That’s over my head.（我搞不定。）
